I am having issues joining an event

This article helps you troubleshoot any technical issues relating to accessing events.

Video issues: video is showing blank, error on video capture.

  1. Make sure you've allowed camera access on your browser.

  2. Make sure that your browser is updated to the latest version.

    • Chrome - Go to chrome:version or click ⋮ > Help > About Google Chrome. ...

    • Firefox - Click ☰ > Help > About Firefox. ...

    • Edge - Click ••• > Settings > About Microsoft Edge. ...

    • Safari - Click Safari > About Safari. ...

    • Opera - Click on the big red "O" in the top left corner of the title bar and select About Opera

Sound issues: If there is no sound when you join the room / the participants cannot hear you

  1. Make sure that you've provided your browser with the necessary permissions to access your input devices. You can check out the relevant steps for your browser here:

  2. Make sure you've provided microphone and camera permissions to your browser in your OS.

  3. Test your microphone and camera in a different browser or tool to make sure that they are configured properly on your device.

  4. If you are using an external mic, check to see if an external button on the device is muted.

  5. Alternatively, close the browser and rejoin the call again.
